Laughed more in one evening than we had in months.

If you can roll a ball, you can make one of these. Squish it and shape it alongside the step-by-step instructions. Each kit air-dries firm in a couple of hours.
Pick your four cards to unlock your box rewards.
The new collection is on its way. Your revealed rewards are saved here for your next clay day.
Good things are worth making.
No perfect shapes required. Just your hands, a little imagination, and something fun to make.
Air-dry clay sets on its own as it dries at room temperature, so there’s no oven, kiln or heat gun. That makes it something you can start on the couch tonight, and the card breaks the character into small, simple pieces so no one needs to be “the artsy one”.

You don’t need to be. Every character comes with a step-by-step card that shows each piece, one at a time. If you can roll a ball of clay, you can make one. And if yours comes out a little different from the photo, that’s half the charm.
Everything for one character: 30g of soft air-dry clay in four colours, in a resealable tub, plus a step-by-step card that shows every piece in order. Sculpting tools come free once your box reaches 6 kits, and the pressing board and gift box at 12.
Just your hands and a clear table. There’s no oven, kiln, water or paint involved. The tools make the fine details (eyes, stripes, little paws) easier, which is why we add them free to bigger boxes.
Not at all. It’s soft air-dry clay with no paint, no water and no glue, so it doesn’t stick to hands or stain the table. A quick wipe-down and you’re done.
Air-dry clay firms up in a couple of hours and fully hardens in 24–48 hours at room temperature. Thicker pieces can take a little longer. No oven or kiln, just leave it somewhere safe to set.
Not in the tub. Keep the lid on and it stays soft until you’re ready. Once it’s out it starts to set, so pop the lid back on any colour you aren’t using. Leave your finished character somewhere at room temperature for 24–48 hours, away from heaters and direct sun, which dry it too fast and can cause cracks.
We pack and send every order within 24 hours. Standard is $11, or free on orders over $80, and most orders arrive in 2–5 business days anywhere in Australia. In a hurry? Pick Express ($15) at checkout. We ship overseas too, for a flat $20. You’ll get a tracking link by email once it’s on its way, or check any time on Track your order.
Our air-dry clay kits are suitable for ages 3+. Younger makers may need a hand with the smaller pieces. But really, anyone can get started with Lumi: kids, couples, or just you and a quiet evening.
Yes. Build their box here, then enter their address at checkout. Boxes of 12 ship in our free gift box, so it arrives ready to hand over.
Email hello@lumiclay.com.au with your order number (and a photo if something’s damaged). We replace damaged items free, and you have 30 days to let us know if your kit isn’t right for you.

We set the laptop up, made ours at the same time and decided whose came out funnier. Such a small thing but it honestly helps us feel closer.

Turns out my boyfriend has no patience and is pretty awful at clay ha ha. His walrus still came out cute. We spent the whole call chatting instead of half watching something.

We put some music on, ordered takeout and made Pip while watching East of Eden. Had so much fun, made us laugh a lot. The funnier the outcome, the better the memory.

Easiest date night ive ever planned xD. Mine's the better one btw...

Just got these in The wife seems really excited. 5 Stars.

After seven years you run out of date ideas. This was a genuinely good shout cheaper than going out and we actually have something to show for it. Took us about an hour to make the crocodile

My wife kept seeing this and showing me again and again so I finally caved and got it. I knew she would love it but im surprised how much I had fun, felt like the old us again. I recommend this one over a Netflix thursday any day

Definitely not a planner by any means. but this made it look like I'd been organising for weeks. She loved it, thanks Lumi 🙂

Doing this with my girly Mia every week now!! We found that making a new animal every week each was a way better time to spend our nights than on Netflix - this will be our new friday night ritual for sure! Thank you Lumi.

Bought this for a date night but my daughter begged to try it at her little get-together first. I caved. Six kids, zero screens, two hours of chaos and laughter. Her blue dino with the pink horns is now her most prized possession. Ordering more for my niece she absolutely needs to experience this.

We have a rule now: Thursday is clay night, no screens. It's the most we've talked all week, every week. Such a simple little thing and it completely changed our evenings.

We are six kits deep and there is no stopping us. Each one is a bit wonky and a bit us. Looking at the shelf is like looking at a little diary of date nights. Obsessed.

My partner was deeply sceptical. "I'm not doing arts and crafts" he said. Reader, he made three dinos and named them all. I've never seen him concentrate so hard on anything. Already ordered another kit.

We always say we'll do something special and end up on our phones. Not this time. We set up at the table, cracked open the kit, and completely forgot about scrolling. Matt made the worst dino I've ever seen. It was perfect.

Bought this as part of an anniversary present and we ended up spending the whole night on it. Proper quality time no awkward restaurant silences, just us and a lot of laughing at each other's attempts.

After a decade together you run out of new things to try. A friend recommended this and I'm so glad we did it. Laughed more in one evening than we had in months. Instructions are dead easy too no craft experience needed.

Same dinner, same show, same scroll. This completely broke the pattern. Got it on a whim and it's become our go-to when we need a reset. Simple, fun, genuinely relaxing in a weird way.

I had no clue what to do for a stay-in date night. Took a chance on this. We spent two hours on it and honestly forgot it was a date it just felt like hanging out and making things together. The little dinos are on our bookshelf now.

Packed it in our bag for a weekend away and it turned out to be the best part of the trip. Sat by the fire, made our dinos, had the best conversation we'd had in months. Kit travels really well too.

I was worried about the mess but it's genuinely fine. Quick to set up, easy to clean, and the result looks way better than expected. Ben has zero artistic ability and his dino is actually kind of cute.

My sister bought this for us and I was a bit like... clay? Really? But four sessions in I totally get it. There's something meditative about working with your hands together. Brilliant gift idea.

Everything about it feels considered the packaging, the tools, the clay itself. We put on music, opened it up and made a proper evening out of it. Both dinos are on display. Would absolutely buy again.

I don't say this lightly this genuinely cracked the top 3 best date nights we've ever had. Something about the focus and the making-something-together made the whole evening feel different. Ordered two more as gifts.

Ours are lumpy, slightly terrifying, and completely us. We've done it twice and both times ended with us laughing until we cried. Great product, great vibe, great night.

Some things overpromise and underdeliver. This is the opposite. Exactly what it says: a fun, easy, proper date night in a box. We were sceptical going in and by the end were already planning the next one.

Started as something to do on a miserable Sunday afternoon. Now we do it twice a month. There's something about making stuff with your hands together that just works. Way better than another Netflix night.
